I have a 2nd Generation Thunderbolt Display that has not worked for a very long time. Since I am trying to down-size my computer stuff how would you suggest that I get it fixed?
I am looking to purchase the new iMAC and would like to use the Thunderbolt display as a 2nd monitor

The new Macs useThunderbolt 3, your display is Thunderbolt 1. I suspect you will need to contact www.macsales.come and look into a dock that you can use to connect the Display to and the new iMac to. As they specialize in Macs I’m pretty sure they can help with the right solution.

Depends what your definition of "has not worked" means.
If there is an internal hardware failure, the cost of getting it
repaired may be as much as a new monitor.
