preparing my old I Phone correctly to send back to Apple

I have just bought and set up my new I Phone 11. I need to know the steps I need to take to shut my old

I Phone 8 down, and clean it of all my identifying information before i send it back to Apple.

This was not included in any of the info I got from Apple with the return box and label.
