Where this was left off earlier, the hardware of your MacBook could not be upgraded

enough to run newer macOS than High Sierra. ~ And Windows10 could not be ran in

that MacBook, since BootCamp needed for Windows is too new, for the configuration.

So what had changed to allow an attempt to go forward? An older BootCamp for use

in High Sierra, to install Windows 8.1? ~ Or, newer MacBook with newer Mojave 10.14.6?

Then the Windows10 could use the available newer BootCamp; in later MacBook?

The blue Windows error message, in this thread, without plausible explanation: why.

You may try other 'virtual machine' answers that allow Windows to run in macOS.

However not free; to locate one suited for use with your macOS may be possible.

Good luck & happy computing!🌻

The newest Catalina had been shown to not work in that build model; too old.

Had you checked the High Sierra to see if it needed more RAM or larger storage

drive, or faster SSD, etc. ~ So it'd not be so slow? The cause may be hardware.

(Maybe I've misunderstood a detail? Like if Boot Camp had seen recent update

and now that's an issue. Perhaps a former version Boot Camp is now needed..?)

Not sure; but think now I should not have gotten involved here.🤔
