Adding a Document Camera to MacBook Air Version 10.13

I'm having trouble connecting my ELMO document camera to my MacBook Air. I used a USB to connect the two and the doc camera is on. I tried to open it up using Photo Booth (is there a different app I'm supposed to use). From Photo Booth, I go to Camera. The FaceTIme HD Camera works (it's on default), but the ELMO UVC Camera option does not work. It's like there is something blocking. Anyone know? I need for teaching...

Maybe read the user manual that came with it. You can also contact the manufacturer for assistance with their product. Do you know that the device is supposed to work with a Mac?
