How to Change Default Apple ID in Apple Store

I inherited a used MacBook Pro through my work, and the Pages and Keynote apps need updates; however, the login is repopulated with the previous users Apple ID, and it is not editable. How can I change to my Apple ID so that I can authorize updates? Thanks!

Did the former owner erase the computer and set it up again? If not, you need to do that to make it 'your' computer. Start with step 6.
