Want to unlock my iPhone 8 plus it’s telling me to take out old Sim and insert new Sim I plan on keeping my service provider and using the phone just want it unlocked I may want to sell it down the road what do I do?

Yes that’s what I meant sorry. right now I’m staying with my phone carrier thinking about selling this phone not sure but like for it to be unlocked So no matter what phone company you’re with can buy it is that possible?
If you will able to unlock it you cAn use any other provider that you like. And if it is unlocked you can still use the same sim card and continue with your current provider and you can change it anytime you like or put back the sim you use anytime you like
