Migrate only 64-bit apps to new iMac

Can I use Migration Assistant to selectively migrate only 64-bit apps to a new iMac (that doesn't support older 32-bit apps)?

No use having all the old 32-bit files on the 2020 iMac with its 64-bit only OS X.

Thanks so much

Use Go64 first, then migrate to macOS Catalina. Or use Go64 after migrating.

Unfortunately, macOS Catalina Migration Assistant doesn’t filter 32-bit apps.

Suggest it to the folks at Apple: https://www.apple.com/feedback/

No, Migration Assistant is an all or nothing migration. Meaning, if you ask it to migrate applications it will migrate all of them. If you have third party 32 bit apps on the old Mac there is really nothing to worry about it when they migrate. As you likely know they will not work on Catalina and if you want to, you can remove them once the migration is completed. For the most part apps do not take up large amounts of space so leaving them on the new machine should not stress your storage.
