Find My Friends Location not Updating Someones Location

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. To be clear, the issue you're describing is only happening with a specific contact, correct? If so, the issue may be with a setting on the other persons device. If the issue happens with all of your contacts, you'll want to follow the troubleshooting linked below to go over your device settings.

There are quite few factors that can affect the location showing correctly, including network connections and service availability in both device locations. If the issue is only happening with some contacts, and it is intermittent, it is likely related to a setting on the other persons device or signal strength.

If the issue starts to affect all of your contacts, or your device is unable to accurately determine your location, we recommend reaching out to Apple Support directly for additional help.

I am having the same issue. The device is showing the correct location in the devices list, but the contact name is stuck in an old location. I am not sure how or why the device and contact have become dissociated.
