I recently got (what I think are) airpods but When I put in my serial number on Apple it says “this serial number is invalid so where do I see it and when I go into setting it isn’t showing in general>about and there’s nothing there so what do I do??

Take them into an Apple Store and ask a staff member to check them out. All Genuine Apple products have serial numbers. If you bought from Apple Store directly or an Authorised Retailer they will be an authentic Apple product.
