My Iphone SE is stuck on recovery (restore) screen and it won't work

2 days ago I tried updating software from 12.6 to 13.6 and udpate couldn't go through due to ''error 14''. I tried to update again via Itunes on the computer, but it stated the same error again. Since then, my phone's screen is stuck on restore/recovery screen and I can't troubleshoot it. I don't want to lose my data on the phone and I'm stuck on what to do to make my phone useful again. I'm not sure I have a backup, because I wasn't aware I needed to do one.

Please help.
