Every Apple Device in the House connects to my AirPods EXCEPT my new MacBook Pro

My new MacBook Pro can't connect to Gen2 Air Pods. I've removed/reset the airpods and re-added them to the MBP. It still attempts to connect, but never makes and sustains a connection.

The AirPods work fine on my iPhone 8, my 7-year old Macbook Pro, wife's 6 year old Macbook Air, Wife's iPhone 11, and my iPad.

Starting to seem like a hardware/software/firmware issue either with this specific MBP or with Catalina 10.15.6

Maybe an airpod firmware compatibility problem, but I have to imagine more people would be complaining about this if it weren't specific to my hardware.

Hi daniel.l.pickett,

We see you are unable to pair your AirPods to your Mac only. We use our AirPods daily and would want to get them working also. We can help with this.

Do other Bluetooth devices connect as expected to your Mac? It sounds like you have covered some great steps so far troubleshooting. Do you see a solid light on the AirPod case when pairing to your Mac? What color is that light?

Let's do a SMC reset on your Mac, if we have not already. We want to make sure only the power adapter is connected during the reset.

How to reset the SMC of your Mac

Have a great weekend!
