Kids accounts music content

I created a child account for my 7 year old and set it to restrict explicit content, but there is still a lot of inappropriate content that comes through especially on music videos from Apple Music. Is there some other setting where it is only kid stuff? Also on the Apple TV- when it's on his account, Apple TV still recommends things that are not age appropriate.

Apple Music explicit content on child’s restricted account My 8 year old has restricted access on Apple Music under Family Sharing and Screen Limit and content restriction settings. Extremely explicit context (Jimmy Carr and Frankie Boyle) is still being suggested to him and he is being allowed to play that content. I have checked the settings on both my account and his iPad and they are the same (see attached photo). Despite explaining why it’s not suitable for children, he keeps playing it and I’ve had to turn off his access to Apple Music. Restricting Explicit Content on Apple Music on child's device When I set up an iPad for my child's use, I restricted explicit content via settings>content & privacy restrictions > content restrictions directly on the device. Music is set to Clea, Movies is set to G, Books is set to Clean. I also have Apple Music with my child set up as a family member and able to access the account. The iTunes (purchasing of music) side seems to restrict it just fine, but the Apple Music side does not. One problem is that "Browse," and "Radio" seem to show a variety of content, both explicit and non-explicit. The other problem is that "search" shows several trending terms, and my kid being curious as all kids are, tapped on "freak doja cat." Then she managed to pull up the music video for "Cyber Sex (Official Video)" Needless to say, this is deeply troubling and upsetting that my kid was able to watch a part of this video before I managed to take it away. Are there any other solutions to restricting this type of junk from being accessible on the device short of limiting Apple Music altogether?

Restrict what Apple TV content is shared I've figured out how to share movies bought on Apple TV. But now my kids aged 5 and 9 have access to all movies we've ever bought. One would think that the kids Icloud accounts, that have information about their age, would be able to filter PG content on their devices. I haven't found a manual way of filtering what movies they have access to on their devices. Is this not a feature, or have I missed something? note: I do think the "screen time", Family Sharing and other settings on the IPad and IPhone are very unintuitive and difficult to use so I might well have missed it.

Hi Timyinger,

Looks like explicit content is showing up on your child's account. You can Use parental controls on your child's iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch to check all settings for the account.
