I seem to have lost a ton of photos and videos that were formerly on the icloud....

yes plenty....the pics and vids were there and now they have all disappeared before 2010
The disappearing photos and videos can only occur possibly due to a lack of iCloud storage or a lack of device storage. Did you make any changes to your settings or updates?
