Spam Email on my iPhone from a "linked" Aol.com account that isn't mine

i keep getting consistent amounts of spam emails to my iPhone, which i cannot block because the sender has a generated username. i am using Gmail, BUT the weird part is when i click on the sender info, it says the recipient email account is adam@aol.com, which is my first name, but i do not have an aol email account. these crap emails do not appear on my gmail account on my laptop, they only appear on my iPhone mail. How can i remove this aol account, which isn't mine, from my iPhone mail. when i go into my preferences on my phone, there is only my gmail and iCloud account linked. this is very frustrating and calling aol support is absolutely useless.

Hello Agajanuary,

We know it can be troublesome to get unexpected emails. It's quite likely that the email address is just being spoofed if you are not seeing that email account under Settings > Mail > Accounts. You can use the below steps to block an unwanted contact as well as report spam.
