Phone LCD broken so I want to get text messages via my MacBook....

...but I dont already have the iMessage set to sync with my Macbook. Is there any way I can I turn on my iMessage settings on my iPhone from my Macbook?


I cant see the screen to get into the settings and change it on my iphone. Trying to still get and receive text messages while I wait for a replacement phone.

It looks like you're looking for options to receive Messages on your Mac as your iPhone's screen is broken. We can understand wanting to know more about that. We want to help.


In order to receive text messages that are sent to your phone number on your Mac, your phone number would first have needed to be added to Messages on your iPhone. If that was already completed, you can then turn on your phone number for Messages on your Mac. This article explains how to do that: Add or remove your phone number in Messages or FaceTime


If you're unable to take those steps because you can't access your iPhone, you can still use your Mac to receive iMessages sent to your Apple ID from other Apple devices. This article explains how to set up iMessage on your Mac: Use Messages with your Mac
