I received an iPad and keyboard from my school district a few days ago. After a few days of using the keyboard it doesn’t work anymore. It is very inconvenient at school but I can’t find anything to help me with the issue so I was hoping someone else has had the same issue and figured it out. I’ve contacted the school district but it takes 1-2 weeks for a response and I don’t have that kind of time.

thank you in advance!

Figured it out right after I posted the question haha. All I had to do was power off/restart the iPad. To d this I half down the poser button on the top right corner. If your iPad has Face ID you instead hold down the power button on the top right corner and the bottom volume button.
