When using my i-phone with carplay for navigating there are times when I lose my map and only have my location icon on an empty grid on screen. The map doesn't just blank out entirely. You can see the empty grid approaching as you drive towards it.

When using my i-phone with carplay for navigating there are times when I lose my map and only have my location icon on an empty grid on screen. The map doesn't just blank out entirely. You can see the empty grid approaching as you drive towards it. It's as if Apple maps doesn't have any info for that area. Then, later, as you approach an area for which Apple maps has info, you can see a map until you reach that map and everything goes back to normal.
