Low memory message help

For iPad users how much space can one expect to gain by using the “clear history and website data” feature. I haven’t don’t it in a long time. I’ve been deleting apps each day and have gotten down to my primary apps I use. Removing any more will be a major inconvenience. I’ve also removed all pics with is a pain cause I prefer to use the iPad for pic viewing. I’m just inches away from buying another iPad cause I’ve had this one for quite a while now but it will cost no less than $400 to do that. Any suggestions on memory saving would be great. Thanks
