Why does my Macbook drain when at 100% for long periods of time?

I leave my Macbook charged at 100% for long periods of time and it is still fairly new I got it like 1-2 months ago. It's the 2020 Macbook Air if that makes a difference at all. Do Macbooks once at 100 percent just stop charging? Is this normal?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.15

Your Mac will charge to 100% then remain there while on AC power, but with the current macOS it will run off battery for brief periods occasionally, as part of the Battery Health Management feature. That's to maintain battery health, since Li-based batteries do need to be used occasionally.
