Storage capacity is almost full

Dear Sir / Madam,

I have 16 go iPhone 6 plus. I have lot of unused space in my iCloud. However, my phone is consuming lot of space in whatsapp and Sandesk external drive and always indicates no space left out of my 16 GB.

How do I save my whatsapp chats including photos and videos in iCloud so that I will have around 3 gb free space in iPhone.

Secondly why the space of external drive also showing up in iPhone storage space.

I am fed up using 16 gb iPhone.

Please help me out.

I would like you to realize and know one important thing and that is that there is NOTHING that you can do to increase the physical storage capacity of your iPhone. Your iPhone's storage capacity will forever remain the same as the day you bought it.

You have purchased ➔ iCloud Storage from Apple where you create and save your iPhone backups and synch (Not Store) your Messages, Photos, Contacts, Calendars, Notes and Reminders. Note that iCloud Storage is NOT an extension of storage capacity of your iPhone. Just wanted you to know some facts. Thanks.

In today's world, as you have found out, a 16GB storage phone (iPhone or any other phone) is just not going to perform as you expect it to. It will run out of space in a matter of days. My recommendation and solution to your issue is to purchase a higher storage capacity phone.
