Siri having an error when asked weather Apple Watch series 3

Hi, I’ve been having an error for some time with my Apple Watch series 3 42mm. Please see the attached photo. The weather app is working fine if i open it manually. It is paired to an iPhone 7.

QuinnPedey,

Thank you for replying back with the updated information around what steps you’ve taken to resolve the issue.

We understand that after updating and restarting both devices the issue still occurs.

When asking Siri another inquiry such as “What’s today's date” does Siri recognize this correctly?

The resources below can help with next steps:

Unpair and erase your Apple Watch

Set up and pair Apple Watch with iPhone

These resources provide steps that can help to to first unpair and erase your Apple Watch and then to pair back the device. Unpairing your Apple Watch restores it to the factory settings which can help to resolve issues.

Keep us posted,

Cheers!

Hi there QuinnPedey,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!

It sounds as though when asking Siri about the weather Siri does not recognize the inquiry. You’re in the right place, we’d be glad to assist in seeking a solution.

First, we’d advise checking to see if all software on your iPhone and Watch are up-to-date:

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Update your Apple Watch

Then we’d advise restarting your iPhone and then your Apple Watch in that order:

Restart your iPhone

How to restart your Apple Watch

We hope this helps,

Cheers!

QuinnPedey,

Thank you for replying back!

We understand Siri is able to recognize other inquires okay. It’s possible to remove the built-in Weather app and then add It back. This resource below can provide useful steps:

Remove built-in Apple apps from the Home screen on your iOS 10 device or Apple Watch

We’d advise removing the Weather app, restarting both devices and then adding the Weather app back.

Have a great day!
