Second Monitor Not Fullscreen

Hi, I have a new MacBook Pro that I hook up to a projector in my classroom. The second monitor, the projector screen, does not fill the screen like it did with my old MacBook. Is anyone familiar with this or how to fix it?

Problems with monitor DELL S2722QC on a macbook pro (intel i7)13'' When I connect the Dell S2272QC to a macbook pro intel withs intel Core i7 with Intel Iris plus graphics I can't get the image to fill the entire screen. I have tried all the settings in System Preferences but there is no way. When I boot up and with the monitor connected (laptop closed) it fills the whole screen but as soon as I open the laptop the image is reduced and no longer fills the screen. Any idea how to solve this and be able to use the whole screen?

Macbook pro 2017-Second monitor is not full screen Hello, I'm using second monitor for my Macbook pro (not mirror, just as secondary screen), but unfortunately it's not filling the entire screen for some reason. I've tried almost everything but it looks like a weird bug. Is there any solution for this problem? I'm attaching a photo of the monitor (the black area should be filled). Thank you for helping

Thank you for your response! I think it is a little more complex than that. The whole screen appears smaller in size, the text across the top is tiny. I'm going to keep investigating and see what I can come up with.

First thing to try (with the projector connected) is System Preferences > Displays, then on the projector screen make sure the resolution is set to the maximum.
