You don't. There is no way to make appointments for shopping, nor do you need to make one. Appointments are only for service.
Just go to a store, and tell them you want to buy something.
Why couldn't you make an appointment? Did you use the link Lawrence provided?
Go learn a book.
How does one "learn a book?" Do you mean "read a book"? Currently, I'm reading Belief by James Alcock. It's on the psychology of belief. I recommend it.
“EXCUSE?” Where are you coming from. The USA has 4% of the world’s population, but 20% of infections and deaths. Which means we are doing a really poor job of managing the pandemic compared to most of the rest of the world. We should be doing more, not less.
Explanation: back in August when that post appeared that you just replied to that was the case. Apple implemented a reservation system after that, and the instructions to make a reservation have been posted at least a dozen times in this message thread, including 3 times on the page your post appears on.
You get a SIM card from your carrier, not Apple.
If the phone needs repair you need a Genius Bar appointment—>https://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/. Once you are in the store the technician should be able to refer you to someone who can help with your accessories.
I tried to make an appointment for today, but it is all booked, and I can't make one for tomorrow or the next day. It simply will not let me proceed because I cannot select my store. Thank you!
Well... yes... I was at the store the other day and also a line. But ALL the stores in our Malls are limiting number of people inside... so it is not different. But they are the only one not allowing people to come in and transact a sale, ... at least I don’t think. Not sure what people inside were doing either???
What’s different is more people want to go into an Apple store than it can safely accommodate. That isn’t true of most other retailers. And everyone in an Apple store was there either to buy or to get (free) tech support.
I was told by Apple to make an appointment to shop with a specialist in order to make an exchange of my laptop for another product. There is a place to schedule the appointment on the individual store website, but it isn’t working properly. I am holding on the phone for an Apple rep to help me book the appointment.
I would like to make a shopping appointment in an apple store please to get advise, which ipad and iphone to buy
Please can you help how to do this.
I tried genius bar reservations, but that didn't get me anywhere
The stores are full all the time, with people buying things. You can buy online and probably have your choice in your home in a day or two. Or call and work with a product specialist to configure your purchase.
In case you haven’t noticed, we are deep into a worldwide pandemic that is killing thousands of people A DAY, including 279,000 Americans at latest count (source: https://www.arcgis.com/apps/opsdashboard/index.html#/bda7594740fd40299423467b48e9ecf6). The number of daily new cases is higher over the past month than at any time since the start of the pandemic. This is clearly the most serious world crisis since World War II, and more Americans have died than in the combined World Wars. This has inconvenienced millions of people, from major inconveniences such as being laid off, not able to get enough food, or pay rent, or being evicted, to minor inconveniences such as not being able to get a convenient appointment at an Apple store.
well.. all the other stores are too... but can go in the other stores to shop, buy, return things, etc. etc. Limit # of people in store, wear masks, stay 6 ft. apart. That is what other stores are doing. Hmm....
Have you actually tried to visit an Apple store? They do exactly as you suggest. They limit the number of people (by requiring appointments), wear masks, and stay 6 feet apart. And with the restrictions you suggest the stores are FULL, and even have a line outside the store of people with appointments, waiting for shoppers to leave after finishing their appointments.
A few days ago I was in Manhattan and walked by the flagship Fifth Avenue store (the one pictured below). There was a line about a city block long of people with appointments, and the store was absolutely full of people 6 feet apart, wearing masks. However, a few blocks away the Microsoft store had more staff than customers. So maybe you should get a Windows phone.

There are never any time slots! Only one apple store in W Michigan. Super frustrating
Yes, more frustrating than the fact that 283,000 people in the US have died from COVID-19, which is the reason that there are no time slots.
Every time i have gone to the apple store in Kenwood Town Center, they have told me i cannot be waited on to buy merchandise...I have to make an appointment! now you tell me i don't not have to make an appointment...very confusing...this will be my third and final attempt...please, let me know the proper procedure
