Panning suddenly doesn’t work on select tracks

Anyone run into panning stop working on select tracks that once worked? It’s only on my vocals and acoustic guitar tracks. Electric guitars, cello and all else works. And vocals and acoustic used to pan but just stopped working. When I go to the Aux tracks for both Vocals and Acoustic guitars and pan them there as a group the panning works. If I change the output on the vocals from the Aux track I’m sending them to to the Stereo Output, then the panning works, but once I re-route them to Aux track they don’t work again. No special processing on Aux tracks; I’m NOT in mono; not and interface issue. I decided to create a new Aux track for them, as that seems to be what was corrupted. Initially, upon creating a new Vox Aux track and sending them there the individual tracks’ panning worked again. But a few minutes later when I tried again they were back to not working. I’ve restarted the computer, closed and opened the program several times and need a fix. My last track did this toward the end on the acoustic guitar only and I was unable to pan for final mix even though I desired to do so. I can’t function with this error. Any help???? Much gratitude. The only thing I’ve done recently is upgrade from El Capitan to Mojave. I didn’t want to do Catalina as I’ve read it can cause issues for Universal Audio users.
