HomePod won’t perform anything location related and requests I turn on precise location for Siri and dictation.

Troubleshoot your network. Reboot the wifi router

On your device, reset network settings in settings- general - reset

Look in the home app as well, long press HomePod, use gear icon (lower right) scroll down to Location Services

Make sure they’re on the same wifi network and wifi is enabled (not airplane mode) on your iOS device and bluetooth is on. Check this setting in the iOS device you used to set it up with. In settings>Your name>Find My

Same problem with the latest generation iPad. I get that exact message every time I try to ask for a business location or information. I’ve gone through all the switches that others have listed on this report to no avail I reset my iPad, and I downloaded the latest update which apparently is just came out. I still cannot access any businesses with Siri but she will answer other questions. My iPad is Wi-Fi only with no data connection, is that the difference?

I have the same problem. I suspect it has something to do with the “precise location” added in iOS14. I didn’t have this problem before and recently it started happening where HomePod simply would refuse to answer any questions regarding location.

I have the same issue. It was working fine before iOS 14. My wife keeps telling me what a waist of money 💰 that HomePod was. I have tried everything listed above and more. Someone must know how to fix this. 🤔

Forgot to mention when you toggle things off then on, restart your device after toggling off, toggle it back on after it starts up.

You might also want to try signing out of iCloud then sign back in

I have the same issue. With ios14 I can't get HomePod to do any location based tasks. precise location seems to be the issue
