is there a way to sort photos for an individual person in People in Photos? I would like to rearrange photos for individuals, not the way they were scanned and imported into Photos.
You could create your own album from the photos in the People album of the person. The photos in album you create yourself can be rearranged by dragging them into the order you want.
To my knowledge there is no way to sort the photos in person's album. Sounds like a good idea though. You might consider submitting feedback to Apple:

Now you can filter your collection by Favorites, Edited, Videos, and Photos. And you can sort any of your albums, including Shared Albums, by oldest or newest first.
