Screen Time

Why is my child’s screen time content restrictions greyed out in MY phone after I enter my code? I can’t change any settings in content restrictions because of this. Downtime, app and communication limits are fine and working as usual. I’ve tried restarting my phone, her phone, changed my screen time passcode, and even tried turning off screen time completely and then turning it back on again. Nothing works!

We understand that the Content & Privacy Restrictions are grayed out in the Screen Time settings, and we'd like to look into this with you.

To help us get a better understanding of the issue, we’d like to ask a few questions.

Which software version is the device running? Find the software version on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod
When did you first notice this issue? Were any changes made to the devices or its settings prior to the Content & Privacy Restrictions setting appeared as being grayed out?
You mentioned turning Screen Time off and back on; when you turned Screen Time off and back on, were the Content & Privacy Restrictions grayed out right away, or did they gray out after attempting to make a change?
When tried to set up the Content & Privacy Restrictions initially, did you use the steps outlined under the "Set Content & Privacy Restrictions" part go this page? Use parental controls on your child's iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
