I’m currently a beta tester for iOS14. Today there was an update for iOS14.5 and ever since my entire hidden folder in the photos app has vanished with over 500 photos and videos in it. Obviously I know where to find it, but as of a few hours ago it’s just gone. Can anyone help?

In iOS 14 beta, Apple is toying with the idea There's a new Hidden Album setting in photos that when turned on, causes the Hidden album in Photos to be hidden from the Albums list. The Hidden album remains available in the image picker.
By default, the Hidden album is visible from within the Photos app. So, you shouldn't be facing what you are, but then again this is a beta version ...
Please check the settings and maybe it can be undone if it is hidden for you:
Go to Settings > Photo > Toggle ON Hidden Album

You may want to check the Settings > Photos. Is there an option "Hidden album"? Then enable it. It will depend on the System version, if you are seeing this option.
