How do I find settings on my new MacBook Air?

Go to the top of the screen. Click on the " " menu. Select Preferences from the drop down.

Explore your Mac - it is a computer rather than a smart phone or an ipad, so it has a different operating system. Everything you see in the menu bar has a drop down menu. And, the icons in the dock at the bottom will open apps with one click. You can also find your Applications folder and drag more icons into the dock if you use that app a lot. And, to get to where everything is stored, use the Finder icon in the dock - click on it and you'll get a window with folders, etc. partial screenshot of my Finder window:



You can arrange those contents by column (that's mine), or list or icons. Whatever works best for you.


As for the forums:
