iPhone Screen Stuck

My iPhone XS Max was acting up; disappearing texts, apps crashing, notifications reappearing after deleting them etc. I restarted my phone and now it is stuck on the apple logo. I've done the volume up/down hold power button multiple times and it hasn't worked. I'm really trying to avoid having to lose everything by doing it through a laptop; which I have an MacBook Air with no port to plug the laptop in so I guess I'm forced to go to the store unless someone has a better idea...
