My iPhone XR won’t connect to the aux in my car

My IPhone XR won’t connect to the aux in my car but it does with my dads phone (he has the same phone as me) i’ve had this problem with past phones in different cars as well.

iPhone 12 Pro Max & Carplay Having an issue with car play and my iPhone 12 Pro Max. Have a 2021 Peugeot 3008. Using car play via usb, I start a journey listening to music and within no more than a few minutes the music stops playing through the car and then starts coming out of the phone. Ask Siri to Play music and it comes back through the car again. Plug my daughters 2020 IPhone SE in and don’t have the same problem. I’ve unpaired the phone from the car, no use. Any ideas?

I cannot connect my new iPhone 13 to my car or to my mini speaker. Obviously this is a big problem. I just updated to the new iOS, did not fix anything OK, obviously many of us are having problems connecting via Bluetooth. My new iPhone 13 won’t connect to my 2015 Lexus nor to my Bose mini speaker. I just uploaded the most recent iOS, did not fix anything. Apple, why no response to all these complaints?

Are you using the Official Apple Lightning to AUX adapter?
