Internet sharing (Wifi Hotspot from MBP 13'')

I am connected to my residence Wifi.

Now, I would like to share it to my Iphone SE (as a wifi hotspot) but my internet sharing the MBP does not seem to work...

This is what I did :

System Preferences >> Internet sharing >> From Wifi >> to iPhone USB >> Start

But nothing seems to happen on both the devices... I do not understand!

Oops, that should say:

You can not at the same time USE your Wi-Fi and Share your Wi-Fi. You can share your Ethernet connection out over Wi-Fi, or share your Wi-Fi connection over a USB cable.

If you can receive Wi-Fi on your Macbook, stand next to your MacBook and you should be able to connect to the same Network using your iPhone.

Most School setups PROHIBIT the use of additional Wi-Fi Routers. so even if you set it up perfectly, they may be doing things on the Network that preclude Wi-Fi Sharing working properly.
