Update 13.6.1. iPhone XR. Draining Battery and phone is heating up since installing this update.

14.0.1 is the most current version of iOS.

I’m seeing similar issue. I’ve read the iPhones will do some re-shuffling of files in the background after an OS update, which can explain some of the drain, but mine started draining like yours a couple of months after updating to 13.6.1.

Thanks for the above info. I have used those and made changes and just playing music off my playlist this morning, phone heated up and power dropped from 100-40%. For maybe an hours worth of time. I also noticed that my phone was heating up during calls. Is there anything else I can try?

Understood, but release 14, and specifically 14.0.1, has no reported fixes for fast battery drain. Second, if you read popular reviewers for iOS releases, they are warning of reports of even faster battery drain with 14. Is this issue even being acknowledged, if not being worked on, by Apple?

FWIW, the battery health utility reports 90% on my iPhone XR.

Mine is doing the same. Any updates on this?
