Mac Mini Late 2014 HDMI Hz Problem

After i plugged AOC screen 31" and changed the Hz from 60 to 75 the screen start to flick and shutdown.

i connected a VGA To Thunderbolt the screen is on but it's showing that i have 2 screens .

when i unplugged the HDMI cable the screen get off.

i tried disconnect the power and HDMI and VGA cables and push the power button of Mac mini for more than 10 sec but it didn't help.

i want to get rid off the VGA to thunderbolt connection and just use the HDMI cable.

Ok

I fixed it.

Like i said the problem was 75Hz and not 60 Hz.

What i did is plug the Hdmi to Hdmi and Vga to thunderbolt than i stand with the arrow of the mouse where the Hz box .I unplugged the VGA to thunderbolt while the screen get off and after couple of sec get on for mili sec than with screen black i clicked on the Hz box and with the arrow keys of the keyboard i choosed the 60Hz and press Enter.

That worked.

Has this display been working in this Mac Mini? Or, this is a new setup?

Did you wait for few moment to see of Video would appear via HDMI?

Have you tried this display with other system, via HDMI, with similar issue?

If HDMI is an issue, you might want to stick with Thunderbolt -> VGA/DVI.

One thing I can think of for you to try is "PRAM" -- https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204063

It's AOC Q3279VWF 31.5" .

At the first i used only HDMI to mac mini HDMI and it worked perfectly and that's the way i wanted to be but for than and now it's becomes strugllish to disconnect the thunderbolt cable before i power the mac mini and when it's getting to the Desktop screen the screen is getting off untill i plug the VGA to thunderbolt. Not specific reason for 75Hz.

Just want to get rid off the VGA to thunderbolt and wirk with HDMI connection.
