How do I sync MS Outlook on my iphone??

I have tried so many ways to do this. I have Outlook on my PC and I have Outlook on my iphone which is synced to my gmail account, but I can't get them to talk to each other so the changes I make in my calendar at the office are also on my phone. Surely this should be possible! I have tried going into my iphone settings via itunes to set it to Sync Calendars, but it is telling me I am already synced through iCloud. My guess is that they are being treated as two different Outlook accounts, but I have no idea how to link them. Can anyone help?

You mention both Outlook accounts and a gmail account. Are you using both (accounts, not apps)? You might want to describe the set up and relationship a in a bit more detail.

The account level is where these will need to be related. Synching calendars through iTunes will not do this. You need the same email account(s) added to Outlook (or which ever email app you choose) on each device., and making sure both include the calendar(s) in use.

Simply add Outlook account on iOS mail app and enable Calendar (See the Pic at the Bottom for Calendar)

Settings > Calendar > Default Calendar [Choose Outlook, if you use often]. What you add (Event) on iPhone Calendar is synced with default calendar unless you have chosen a specific calendar at the time of event creation.

It sound like you are only using local calendars on both devices (not linked to the email accounts). If I understand your email set up (private domain through gmail?), you may have an online calendar that could be synced on both devices, but not sure. Check with your service, or follow SravanKrA’s suggestion and see if you can find and that calendar to both devices.

Perhaps someone with little more experience with private domain email in gmail can add to the conversation.

I don't have a private domain through gmail. I have a private domain through a domain host (in this case Fasthosts) which I use for four business related email accounts. I can't do what SravanKrA suggested as I already have my four personal domain accounts on my iphone (not using Outlook). My "junk" account is through gmail, which is separate. (Really good at keeping junk out of my business accounts!)

From this discussion, it really seems like what I need is a standalone calendar that can be synched between my PC and my iphone. It means having to start from scratch, but obviously the Outlook calendar is only going to work if I use it for my email.

Having said that, I HAVE now set up my iphone email to receive my gmail account stuff through Outlook, and my PC account can receive gmail through Outlook. But I can't link the calendars. It's like they are two totally separate accounts. Which is weird since I only have one subscription to MS Office 365.

Ah. Yes, I think this gets to the problem. I don't use Outlook for my email as I have my own domain. I access it through Thunderbird on my laptop, and as standalone IMAP email accounts (through a domain host) on my phone. I use Outlook as a calendar on my laptop and often get appointments muddled up if I have to change them, because when I change an appointment on my Outlook calendar on my PC I have to remember to change it on the calendar on my iphone as well. It would be good to be able to not have to constantly cross-check. But it seems that unless I am using Outlook for my email, I can't use it for the calendar function on my iphone or sync it.

Is there a calendar I can use on both my iphone and PC that will sync? Or do I need to continue to make two entries - one on my iphone and one on my PC - every time I schedule something?
