Active Energy Burned data is late. iPhone 6, iOS 12.4.8

I have an iPhone 6 which has a motion co-processor and its running on iOS 12.4.8. I often check the health app to see the steps I have walked and amount of calories burned (active energy burned). I find that while step counts is updated in a few minutes- calories burned, distance walked and flights climbed takes a few hours to update. Even apps that show the same data get this update late.

Is this some problem with my iPhone or is it by design?

Thanks.

Hello AceNeerav,

It sounds like you're experiencing some issues with your Activity data not syncing quickly. We will be happy to help.

The first thing that we want to check is to make sure that you are able to get the most accurate measurements using your iPhone. This article explains how: Manage Health data on your iPhone, iPod touch, or Apple Watch

Another thing that you can try, is putting your iPhone in Airplane Mode, and then disabling it. This may force a sync to come through. Use Airplane Mode on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple Watch

Please let us know if this helps.

Cheers!

Hello AceNeerav,

We want to make sure that we are on the same page. Do you mean that you were using just the iPhone before and are now using an Apple Watch?

The airplane mode may help, however it may take a moment for things to upload as well. Do you notice if this uploads faster on Wi-Fi or cellular data? Is it more accurate with the Apple Watch?

Please let us know.
