Software to connect iPhone SE not available.

I have a 2019 MacBook Pro running 10.15.3. I just got a new iPhone SE and tried connecting it to my MacBook. I got a message saying that a software update would be required to connect, but on installation, it said the software was not available from the software update server. Any ideas why this software is not available or when it might be available? Any immediate fixes?

You need to upgrade your Mac. Download and Install the macOS Catalina 10.15.5 Combo Update. Your iPhone can be updated, if it's needed, by opening Settings and tapping on General > Software Update.
