Followed all troubleshooting. When opening app grey box appears with logo saying "validating audio units" then app closes. When app does open, it has new features screen. But once I click continue, app closes its self.
Try resetting the preferences to start with. Hold Opt-Cmd as you launch the application.
You are not giving much information to work on.
Mac model, OS version, FCP version?
What have you tried exactly?

How many audio units do you have?
I do not know how long FCPX keeps trying to validate them.
I know Logic dislikes old audio units and they can cause issues
