Hi there, I haven't updated Final Cut Pro but when I try to launch the application, I get the "you can't open Final Cut Pro because it is being updated" dialogue box. It's been hours and hasn't changed, and as far as I can tell it's not updating anything either - No matter what I do, I just can't get it to open. How can I fix this?

Sounds like you have auto update in the App Store. Go into the App Store and see what’s happening. Go to the FCP page. And switch off auto update.

maybe. I’ve not seen that happen. Try switching off WiFi and rebooting and see what happens.
I did restart once, but didn't turn off the WiFI. Thanks, I'll try that and see if it works.
I don't have automatic updates switched on, but in the App Store on the FCP page it does say 'Install' ... could this be the problem?
Final Cut Pro won't launch.
