Thunderbolt adapter - LG monitor connection not working

I'm using this to connect a late 2013 iMac to an LG 27UK670-B and it's not working. Am I doing something wrong?

This, however, does not work: when I do so the monitor says it is receiving no USB-C signal. I have done troubleshooting to rule out the cable, adaptor, Thunderbolt 2 port on the Mac Pro and UBC-C port on the monitor. Does anyone have any solutions for getting this setup to work. Issues using my 2013 27 inch iMac as an external Monitor with my 2020 27inch iMac. Hi Everyone, I just purchased the 2020 iMac and was hoping to use my 2013 iMac as an external monitor. Unfortunately after connecting the thunderbolt 3 to thunderbolt 2 adapter and pressing Command F2, nothing happens. I've tried while both Machines were running Catalina. I tried downgrading my OS on my 2013 iMac to Mojave, High sierra, and even mavericks. Does anyone has any advise? Thanks, Jamie

Connecting Macbook Pro (late 2013) to LG Ultrafine 4k monitor with Apple Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter HI, the apple forum says I can connect a Macbook Pro (late 2013) to LG Ultrafine 4k monitor with the Apple Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter but I am getting a blank screen. I have tried the monitor on other machines and it does work. I am running High Sierra 10.13.6. I have tried this on a 2017 macbook air too and it doesn't work either. Thanks, Cali

That display has a USB-C port but it's not Thunderbolt, so Thunderbolt adapters and cables won't work

Use a Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort Cable from one of the iMac's Thunderbolt ports to the display's DisplayPort.
