Front camera freezing

iPhone XR - When I take a photo using the front facing camera with the flash on, the screen freezes momentarily and then continuously takes photos, like a burst, as though I was holding the camera button. The only way to stop it taking photos is to lock the phone.

It does not do this without the flash.

Can I please have some insight on how to fix this problem.

Ive reset the whole phone to factory settings and it’s still doing it.

Hello Ameliaroberts,

Thanks for reaching out to us about your iPhone XR. It sounds like you're running into issues with the front camera taking photos repeatedly while using the flash feature. We'll be glad to help out.

To confirm, is this happening with the built-in Camera app or while using third-party apps?

When you restored the iPhone to factory settings, did you follow the steps listed here? Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings

If so, did you restore your backup immediately or did you set up as new and test out the issue?

If not, let's try that out and let us know how that goes.

Take care!
