The Apple TV (4th generation or later) has an App Store, where users can get apps of their choice from a huge repository.
The Apple TV (3rd generation) has no App Store and runs a different operating system software version.
You will have to get a newer device if you want to run the app that the content provider made available.

The Apple TV box can have one output and one controller.
In theory, you could use an HDMI splitter, but even then both screens would have identical video.
In reality, one Apple TV box per TV would be needed.
If you have a second tv in the next room do you need a second Apple TV (4th generation)?
