WhatsApp message from contacts

Hi I migrated from an Android lately and brought my contact list with it. Another community question helped that holding the message icon from a contact would give an option of WhatsApp message directly. But WhatsApp isn’t showing in the options list. What are the possible reasons and way to fix this?
