Mail stuck "generating content for PDF" when exporting and missing content

I'm sure I won't get any useful or or conclusive help as this is the world of Apple after all, but I can't get Mail to actually work when exporting emails to PDF - surprise!

On my iAir, the progress bar completes and the window disappears, but some of the emails are blank with only the sender/time/date etc but no content.

On my iMac, it's the same but the bar also hangs indefinitely once filled, but the files are created.

It generally only happens with longer threads (these are text messages that were once backed up to email, so some are thousands long).

Is there actually anything I can genuinely do about this, or is just one of those things we have to wait for an undetermined amount of time until one of the devs inside the impenetrable tower that is Apple accidentally fixes it, like most other annoying bugs?

How much Free Space is on your Drives?

Are you saying you try to great PDFs of thousands of pages?

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?

Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.
