So previously I was a windows user and just bought a new iMac and wanting to transition my photos back to Photos. I have the downloaded iPhone components which include the 2 files (jpgs) and the AAE file.
Can I drop these all back in from the folder process and have iPhoto's acknowledge the edits and items for photos from the iPhone with dual cameras and edits?

I tried myself with one photo and moving all 3 files are automatically required by Photos as one and can change bokeh and such just like I used to on the iPhone.
Now that I have an integrated platform and paying for extra storage space in the iCloud I'll start uploading these further.
Just wanted to advise back incase anyone else was in the same PC to MAC transition process and had all of the files still in their safe folder structure!

further more if the AAE file is not available, the photo will appear twice but the "E" prefixed file will contain the comments about using the portrait or such mode. However, you will not be able to edit the Bokeh anymore. Sadly for some I have deleted the folder contents for those files and so Photos can no longer combine the two as one.
Unless someone knows a way to have Photos advise that the two are the same and recreate the AAE file? That would be cool!
