Easy way to take pictures and send them through Mac

I have at least seven cameras, but I use them so infrequently--once or twice a year--that I usually avoid trying to take a picture to send through my Mac, simply because I don't remember what to do. There is one exception: Photo Booth. I sometimes take pictures with Photo Booth. It's simple enough, even for me, but the results are unsatisfactory. Say, I want to copy an LP. Yes, I can do it, but the results are just not very good. Anyway, I now want to send a picture of a little gadget, but I want to produce a decent picture. Are there now gadgets, or apps, or ??? that make picture taking and transmission easy.?

You did it again. The test photos are now in the Photo section, so I'll stop for now. However, it does bother and baffle me that the two three-slot card readers I just bought won't accept any of my cards. It just doesn't seem right that only the one-slot refugee from the dust bin works. It bothered me so much that I just bought ANOTHER card reader. Maybe my UGREEN SD Card Reader USB 3.0 Card Hub Adapter 5Gbps Read 4 Cards Simultaneously CF, CFI, TF, SDXC, SDHC, SD, MMC, Micro SDXC, Micro SD, Micro SDHC, MS, UHS-I for Windows, Mac, Linux will do the job. If it doesn't, I'll have no choice but to sigh and go back to "old faithful," Thanks a million for your patience and your help.
