🚫 when trying to adjust keyboard brightness

When I am trying to press the key for adjusting the keyboard brightness, it shows the little transparent item, but on this item, it is showing 🚫 instead of the line that is telling you what is your current brightness. It actually works sometimes, but not really.

The keyboard itself works, and all the other function keys, except the keyboard brightness control. Sounds like a keyboard connection problem.
