Macbook air - Input signal not found with - HP27es Monitor

I had a Macbook air with Mojave. I moved my monitor to a new location.

When I reset it the monitor was working for a few hours when I put my

system to sleep and connected back the system won't recognize the

monitor.

Here is how it's Connected

HP27es monitor -> HDMI -> Iball 4 port connector -> Macbook air

Here are a list of all the things I tried after that

  1. Checked the HDMI cable with my DELL laptop works fine
  2. Got another HDMI cable worked fine with DELL
  3. Connected Macbook laptop to my Sony Bravia with Iball connector, connected fine
  4. Rebooted a million times
  5. Detect display via system preference
  6. Tried in safe mode
  7. Reset NVRAM
  8. Downloaded displaylink driver
  9. Updated to Catalina and repeat steps 4-8 again

I have been stuck with this for 2 days now. Some one please help me

Hello bhavaniravi,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities!

We understand you are experiencing some issues with using a specific external display with your MacBook Air. We are happy to help look in to this with you and provide some guidance.

You have taken some fantastic steps already to troubleshoot and isolate the issue here, but we would like to see if we can provide some additional help.

Have you attempted to connect that HP27es display directly to your MacBook without using the 4 port connector? Since the display seems to work with other devices, and your MacBook works with other displays, we want to narrow down the issue to see where the issue is coming from.

We also have some additional troubleshooting tips outlined in this helpful article:

Hey there bhavaniravi,

Thanks for following up and providing that information. Let's continue to look in to what we can do. If you haven't already, try connecting your USB-C adapter to a different USB-C port on your Mac if one is available and try again.

Another thing we can try is when you have the external display connected to your Mac, please try going to the Apple Menu  > Sleep, and let the Mac fully close and go to sleep. Once it is asleep, try waking it up again to see if that might pick up that display from sleep when it wakes back up.

If the issues continue, please reach out to us directly by using this link: Get Support

Cheers.
