I have Catalina 10.15.6. I have checked the box next to "displays have separate spaces". I have restarted my IMAC. After opening a window on either the left or right side, the other side of the screen says "No available windows". Is there a fix for this problem?

To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...
Open System Preferences>Users & Groups, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.
Does it work in the new account?

None of the replies were relevant. I have an iMac, not a laptop or Chromebook. I am still frustrated.
