iPad incoming calls won’t ring

My iPad won’t ring when receiving calls from FaceTime, messenger, or messenger kids. It shows a call coming in on the lock screen but there’s no sound. However it will ring if the iPad is unlocked. I have checked all the settings. Do not disturb is turned off. Allow calls is set to everyone. Sound is turned on for phone calls and volume is all the way up. Mute is turned off. Notification settings are turned on for each app. I have tried a simple reset of the iPad. I do not know what else to try. I am missing all of my calls.

Thank you for the suggestion. I had checked and silence unknown callers was turned off. I ended up updating the iPad and that actually fixed the issue! All calls ring now.

Hello Astroaurora,

It sounds like you are having difficulty receiving notifications on your iPad when receiving calls. Based on your listed troubleshooting steps above we can see that the steps you've taken have been thorough.

We would also recommend considering if these calls that you are missing are from people that are not in your Contacts?

If so, you may want to check that a feature called "Silence Unknown Callers" is turned off

To do so go to Settings > Phone > Silence Unknown Callers - turn off "Silence Unknown Callers" if on.

For more information on this please refer to: Detect and block spam phone calls
